Privacy Policy

The short version: Beam does not watch what you mirror, has no analytics and does not send anything about your use of it anywhere. The only personal information we handle is what is needed to sell you a license.

What the app does with your data

• Your screen and sound travel directly from your phone to your computer over your local network. They are never sent to us or to any server.
• Settings and logs (window positions, colors, the name your phone sees, a technical log) are stored only on your computer, in your Windows user folder. They are removed if you delete that folder.
• Snapshots you take are saved to your Pictures folder and your clipboard. We never see them.
• Your license key contains the email address you paid with. The app checks the key on your computer without going online.

What we collect when you buy

• Payment details are handled by Stripe, our payment processor. We receive your name, email address, country, the amount paid and the date. We never receive your full card number. Stripe's own privacy policy covers what it does with your data.
• License delivery: after checkout, our license service asks Stripe to confirm your payment and creates your license key and a private download link. It does not keep a separate copy of your details.

How we use it

Only to deliver your license, process refunds, answer your support requests, prevent fraud and meet tax and accounting rules. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

This website

This site uses no analytics and no advertising cookies. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when it serves them. Checkout happens on Stripe's site under Stripe's privacy policy.

How long we keep it

Purchase records are kept as long as needed to support your license and for as long as tax law requires, usually up to seven years.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. We will do so unless we must keep it by law (for example, tax records). Depending on where you live, you may have more rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA, and you can contact us to use them.

Children

Beam is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
